Even before babies can say words clearly, they can communicate with their parents through "baby talk." They let their parents know they are hungry by crying, making sucking motions, or putting their fingers in their mouths. At mealtimes parents need to "listen" to their babies to find out when mealtime is over, when a second helping is in order, or when it's time to try new foods. Learn to read these signs and take the anxiety out of feeding time.
